Good Morning Mets Fans! Thursday was a somber day for fans of the Metropolitans as we learned that the greatest pitcher in the history of the franchise, Tom Seaver, has been diagnosed with dementia.

The team fell to the Washington Nationals by a score of 6-4 on Thursday as the bullpen faltered. Jacob deGrom was on the mound for the Mets and pitched three innings as he allowed two runs on two hits while walking two and striking out four.

Noah Syndergaard will take the ball this afternoon as the team faces off against the Miami Marlins in Port St. Lucie. Thor will be opposed by Dan Straily with a scheduled first pitch of 1:05 p.m. ET. The game can be seen on SNY as well as listened to via the Marlins’ radio station.
