Morning Briefing: One Week Until Opening Day

Good Morning Mets fans! With the beginning of spring, we are only one week away from regular season baseball games! (Thank God). The Seattle Mariners and Oakland Athletics began their regular season prematurely yesterday, which saw a run fest that ended in a Mariners win 9-7 (Box Score).

Yesterday was a quiet day down in Port St. Lucie as the Mets had a rare day off as spring training winds down. Today, Steven Matz faces off against Wei-Yin Chen and the Miami Marlins at First Data field. The game will be televised on SNY with first pitch coming at 1:10 p.m. E.T.
