Good morning Mets fans. Dark times are upon us as today was supposed to be Opening Day but instead, baseball is suspended for the foreseeable future.

To make matters worse, flame throwing co-ace Noah Syndergaard is set to undergo Tommy John surgery later today down in Florida as he will be out until the 2021 season (Ugh).

On the bright side, ESPN’s Jeff Passan went on Getup on Wednesday and discussed several scenarios for this season including baseball’s ideal start date, which is mid-June even if that means they play in empty stadiums.

Passan also reported on the ongoing talks between MLB and the MLBPA about pay, neutral-site playoffs, doubleheaders, etc.

Let’s look at what went on with the Mets and the rest of the league on Wednesday.
