Good morning, Mets fans!

Last Night the Mets took the rubber match of a three-game set against the red-hot Chicago Cubs by a score of 4-3. Pete Alonso continued his hot streak as he hit a home run in his third straight game, and Jeff McNeil joined in on the fun as he hit his fifth homer of the season. The Mets used a combination of six pitchers to weather the storm, including a clutch save from former Dodger Phil Bickford with the bases loaded in the ninth.

The Mets improved to 52-62 on the season as they have an off day on Thursday before they host the NL East-leading Braves for a four-game set in Queens.
