First reported by Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, Yoenis Cespedes and the Mets have renegotiated his contract for the 2020 season. The two parties came to this agreement as a grievance settlement regarding Cespedes’ injury on his ranch. Joel Sherman of the New York Post has more specific information regarding the new reconfigured salary for Cespedes stating that he will make less than $10M in 2020 as opposed to the $29.5M he was supposed to get.

It is official: Michael Wacha has signed with the New York Mets on a one-year deal. The New York Mets twitter announced it on Friday while sharing a video with a message from Wacha to Mets fans.

To make room on the 40-man roster the team has designated Chris Mazza for assignment. Another move will need to be made to make room for Rick Porcello once his deal has been made official.
