Today, the New York Mets (1-1-1) will have two split-squad games. Zack Wheeler will make his spring training debut against Matthew Boyd and Detriot Tigers(1-2) at First Data Field at 1:10 p.m. Meanwhile, two hours away, at Champion Stadium, Corey Oswalt‘s first spring training start will take place against Sean Newcomb and the Atlanta Braves (1-2) at 1:05 p.m.

Yesterday, Syndergaard dominated in his two innings of work while Tyler Bashlor, Daniel Zamora, Luis Avilan, and PJ Conlon all impressed in their brief one-inning stints. The Mets struggled on the offensive side of the ball and although they only had two hits, they still scored three runs. David Thompson, MMN’s No. 3 third baseman, went yard for game-tying three-run blast.
