Last night, Matt Harvey continued his return to form in another impressive performance. The Dark Knight pitched 5.2 innings while allowing two runs on five hits while walking one and striking out six before leaving the game due to a “tight hamstring.” Harvey improved his record to 2-0 on the season with an ERA of 2.92 and a WHIP of 0.73 as the Mets crushed Philadelphia by a score of 14-4. The Yo Show was on full display on Tuesday night as Yoenis Cespedes made it look like a home run derby in Philadelphia, launching three of the seven Mets bombs. Jose Reyes‘ struggles continued in Philadelphia last night but may have shown some signs of seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with a third inning double as he went 1-for-6 in the game. The Mets’ converted third baseman was moved down to seventh in the order with Curtis Granderson returning to the leadoff spot. The team though believes Reyes is close to coming out of his slump.
