The Mets prospects they traded for at the deadline are already adjusting well to the new teams they’ve been placed on and contributing to the Mets organization positively. Per Mike Mayer of Metsmerized Online, Mets prospect Aidan Smith (acquired by the Mets in the Freddy Peralta trade with Tampa Bay) has homered in three straight games for High-A Brooklyn.
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies also shared a video of Billy Amick hitting his fourth home run since joining the Mets organization via the A.J. Minter trade with the Minnesota Twins. He has now combined to hit a total of 27 home runs in Double-A in 2026.

Up in the major leagues, the Mets’ four-game win streak came to an end on Saturday with a 9-0 loss to the Pirates. They conclude their series against Pittsburgh on Sunday with a 1:35 p.m. series finale at PNC Park. It will be left-handed pitcher Sean Manaea (3-5, 4.33 ERA, 95 SO) on the mound for New York against right-handed pitcher Jared Jones (2-3, 4.02 ERA, 62 SO) on the hill for Pittsburgh.
