Morning Briefing: Mets Are Undefeated in July

Good morning, Mets fans!

The Mets started the month of July on the right foot and got back in the win column on Saturday defeating the Giants 4-1 on Saturday. Home runs and a great pitching performance by Justin Verlander led the Mets to the win.

The Mets and Giants will conclude their three-game series on Sunday night baseball at 7:10 p.m. It will be David Peterson on the mound for the Mets in what he hopes will be another solid outing. In his last outing in June, he threw six scoreless innings. Peterson will look to continue to rebound in this most recent stint back with the big league club.
