MLB Deadline News shared a video of Rocco Baldelli expressing his frustration of Domingo German coming back out to pitch for the Yankees after he was stopped twice for long exams of his hands and gloves, one of which the umpires resulted in telling German to “wash his hands” before they allowed him to pitch again in the fourth inning. Baldelli was later ejected from the game for his arguments of the situation.

Joel Sherman of the New York Post later elaborated on the situation, reporting that the gist from crew chief James Hoye was that German had rosin, asked him to remove it after the top of the third.
