According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, the MLB draft will be held remotely. As of now, teams will not be able to have draft rooms as they normally do and will have to draft and confer via video conference. This idea, however, is subject to change as we near June 10.

Jeff Passan also reported that the first round of the 2020 draft will take place on June 10 at 7 p.m. and include the 37 picks within that round. Rounds 2-5 will be the next day on June 11 and it will begin at 5 p.m. Following the five-round draft teams will be able to sign as many players as they would like for up to $20,000.

MLB Network‘s Casey Stern and Ryan Spilborghs, spoke with former Met Billy Wagner about his legendary slider and how if rooted from a lesson he was given from Brad Lidge who was a a guest on the network’s radio station with Wagner. Wagner went on to talk about his encounters with Randy Johnson when asking him for advice when pitching.

The Philadelphia Phillies color analyst Kevin Frandsen, personally delivered lunches to the employees at Nemours DuPont Hospital in honor of his brother, DJ Frandsen who died at age 25 from a Wilms’ tumor. Todd Zolecki of MLB shared the story.
