Good Morning, Mets fans!

Today, Zack Wheeler (2-4, 5.40 ERA) will face off against MLB’s walks leader, Tyler Chatwood (3-4, 4.10 ERA). It’s been an inconsistent season for Wheeler, who has allowed six runs, one run, and four runs throughout his last three starts. The game will be on SNY and 710WOR at 7:10 p.m.

Yesterday, Seth Lugo delivered a quality spot start, but once he left, the wheels fell off. Hansel Robles gave up a two-run homer to Ben Zobrist and Jerry Blevins gave up a run-scoring single to Kyle Schwarber the following frame. Every Met reliever except for Scott Copeland allowed a run. The Mets mustered almost no offense, with 16 batters being retired consecutively at one time.
