Good morning, Mets fans!

Saturday was a good day for the Mets. They made 21 international signings, including three especially highly touted ones, as Metsmerized covered here. They also finally found their bench coach, bringing back old friend Glenn Sherlock.

Jeff McNeil and his wife Tatiana announced on Instagram that they are expected. “Baby Boy McNeil” is due in July 2022.

According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, the Mets are hiring Glenn Sherlock as their bench coach for the 2022 season. Sherlock is a long-time coach who has previously been with the Yankees and Diamondbacks. He has also previously coached for the Mets. Most recently he was a coach on the Pirates’ staff in 2021.
