The MLB All Star festivities are upon us! The Home Run Derby is tonight on ESPN at 8 p.m. (ET) from Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. and it should prove to be quite the show.

The seeds are determined by 2017 home run totals. Here are our participants:

  1. Jesus Aguilar, Milwaukee Brewers
  2. Bryce Harper, Washington Nationals
  3. Max Muncy, Los Angeles Dodgers
  4. Alex Bregman, Houston Astros
  5. Kyle Schwarber, Chicago Cubs
  6. Javier Baez, Chicago Cubs
  7. Freddie Freeman, Atlanta Braves
  8. Rhys Hoskins, Philadelphia Phillies

With that being said, here are the matchups:

No. 1 seed Jesus Aguilar (24 home runs) vs. No. 8 Rhys Hoskins(14 homers)

No. 2 Bryce Harper vs. No. 7 Freddie Freeman(16 homers)

No. 3 Max Muncy (22 homers), vs. No. 6 Javier Baez(19 homers)

No. 4 Alex Bregman (20 homers) vs. No. 5 Kyle Schwarber(18 homers)

Batters will have four minutes per round. Each batter is entitled to one 45-second timeout in the first two rounds, but in the finals, each batter gets two timeouts — one for 45 seconds and another for 30 seconds.

Thirty seconds of bonus time will be awarded for hitting at least two home runs that each equal or exceed 440 feet. Any bonus time will be awarded at the end of the initial four-minute round and the timer will not stop during the bonus time period.

Ties will be broken by a 60-second swing-off with no stoppage of time or additional time added. If a tie remains after the swing-off, batters will engage in successive three-swing swing-offs until there is a winner.
