RHP Zack Wheeler makes his Grapefruit League debut this afternoon as the New York Mets take on the Miami Marlins at 1:10 PM at Tradition Field. The Marlins will counter with former Yankee David Phelps. The game will air live on SNY.

Wheeler allowed two hits and two walks in 1 2/3 innings in the Mets intrasquad game last Tuesday. His first inning of work was called after two outs because he had reached a pitch limit. Wheeler was throwing across his body and described his mechanics as “herky-jerky,” but said it was an easy fix.

Also scheduled to pitch are Jenrry Mejia, Jeurys Familia and Chase Bradford.

Travis d’Arnaud, who suffered a minor cut on his left ring finger sliding into second base Sunday, is fine and getting a day off on Monday.

Lucas Duda took 40 swings in batting practice on Monday and said he felt good, and plans to play his first Grapefruit League game on Friday.

Daniel Murphy, who has missed the last two games with a minor hand bruise, is back in the lineup. Wilmer Flores is not in the lineup.
