Last night was pretty great! The Mets set a few team records including but not limited to: most runs scored in an inning (12), most RBI’s recorded by one player in an inning (6-Cespedes), and most consecutive games with an extra-base hit (9-Cespedes). I still remember where I was watching the game where the Mets scored 11 runs in one inning in 2006 at Wrigley and I’m sure everybody watching the game last night will have similar memories. Overshadowed by the offense explosion in the 3rd inning was another strong start by Steven Matz and Logan Verrett – who lowered his ERA to 0.52 on the season.
