Travis d’Arnaud hit a solo home run, his tenth of the season, in the bottom of the ninth inning to make it 3-2 Nationals. Wilmer Flores lined a clutch hit to move the tying run, Matt den Dekker to third. However MDD would be thrown out on a play to the plate one batter later and the Nationals hung on to win.

The Nats have now beaten the Mets at home for ten straight games. No team has a longer Citi Field winning streak than the Nationals.

On deck: The Mets look to salvage the final game of the series tomorrow night at Citi Field, with Dillon Gee (4-4, 3.54) taking on Stephen Strasburg (8-10, 3.68).
