Ken Rosenthal and Evan Drellich of the Athletic are reporting that MLB’s investigation of the Astros’ cheating scandal won’t be completed until the start of 2020.

The scandal is based on efforts by the Astros to use technology to steal signs during the 2017 season. Of note to the Mets, manager Carlos Beltran and J.D. Davis were both on that year’s Astros team that won the World Series.

Beltran was asked about the scandal on Tuesday night at the Winter Meetings, but refused to speak about it in any capacity.
