Now that closer Craig Kimbrel has signed with the Cubs for three years, Dallas Keuchel remains the lone big fish on the free agent market and the Braves have emerged as the favorite according to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.

Feinsand notes that the Yankees are still in the mix, though the Braves are making a push to sign the former Cy Young winner.

Keuchel, 31, is coming off a 2018 season in which he posted a 3.74 ERA, 3.69 FIP, and 2.6 bWAR over 204 innings for the Astros.

The Braves entered Thursday second in the National League East and currently in line for the second wild card spot with a 33-28 record. Their starting staff has a 4.38 ERA and 4.39 FIP as a group this year.
