Mets’ manager Mickey Callaway spoke with Wayne Randazzo of 710 WOR earlier today, and said the team plans to move right-handed pitcher Corey Oswalt to the bullpen.

Oswalt, 25 next month, has pitched to a 2-2 record with a 5.16 ERA, 5.94 FIP, 1.147 WHIP and 5.6 K/9 in nine games (eight starts) for New York this year.

His most recent outing came on Thursday in the Mets 25-4 rout over the division rival Philadelphia Phillies.

Oswalt surrendered four runs over six innings, but notched his second win of the campaign.

With Steven Matz returning from injury, him, Jacob deGrom, Noah Syndergaard, Zack Wheeler and Jason Vargas will comprise the five-man rotation.
