According to Anthony Dicomo of MLB.com, the New York Mets will be conducting interviews to fill the openings on their coaching staff later this week.

Mets manager Mickey Callaway is scheduled to fly into New York to take part in the interviews, after not having much of a say the last time around.

Former Cincinnati Reds manager Jim Riggleman is among those set to interview for the bench coach opening. Last week, Joel Sherman of the NY Post noted that the Mets have also shown interest in Fredi Gonzalez, Bryan Price, Pete MacKinin and John Russell.

As far as the role of hitting coach, the Mets have reportedly shown interest in Chili Davis and former Met Dave Magadan.

We will find out who has officially received an interview with the club later this week.
