
A few hours after Major League Baseball officially announced that the Mets and Yankees would not play at all this weekend, the Mets released the following statement:

It was reported on Thursday that the Mets had a player and staff member test positive for Covid-19. Initially, their finale against the Marlins was postponed, as well as their game on Friday against the Yankees.
Now, with their entire weekend of games now postponed, the Mets next scheduled game is against the Marlins in New York on Tuesday.
