The Mets currently have a full 40-man roster and then have five additional players on the 60-day injured list that don’t count towards the 40 right now. However, after the conclusion of the World Series, teams have to activate all players from the 60-day IL and can’t use the 60-day IL again until the start of spring camp.

Mendick, Pérez, and Ortega were three of the Mets 16 players that are arbitration eligible this offseason.

Ortega led this group in terms of playing time during the 2023 season, getting into 47 games down the stretch.
