AAA – Game 1: Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders (70-50) 4, Syracuse Mets (48-71) 0 BOX SCORE

The Mets had a quiet offensive night in the first game, scoring no runs on four singles and no extra-base hits or walks. In addition to Cuthbert and Jackson, Brandon Drury and David Rodríguez also had hits in this game.

Noah Syndergaard made his second MLB rehab appearance and pitched a scoreless inning with only one base runner and two strikeouts. However, Robert Gsellman came into the game to pitch the 2nd inning and allowed two runs on three hits. He was also charged with the loss for the game.

AAA – Game 2: Syracuse Mets (49-71) 6, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders (70-51) 3 BOX SCORE

The Mets were busier at the plate in the second game, scoring six runs on nine hits and two walks. Mason Williams went 2–for-3 and had a couple of RBIs. However, Drew Jackson had a crucial two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to give the Mets a 2-1 lead. He also stole second base in the top of the second inning. Finally, Travis Blankenhorn delivered two hits and drove in his 31st RBI of the season.

Vance Worley got the start and allowed two runs across four innings while giving up eight hits in the process. Eric Orze got the win for Syracuse, throwing two scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Stephen Nogosek and Tom Hackimer combined to close out the game in the seventh inning, although Hackimer technically got the save.
