Box Score

Scranton took an early led off Syracuse starter Jesus Reyes and never relinquished its lead in Game 1 of their doubleheader on Wednesday. They had the tying run on second base in the top of the sixth inning when Mason Williams was hit by a pitch and stole second base with only one out but back-to-back groundouts by Travis Blankenhorn and Drury ended the threat.

Davis played the entire seven inning game at third and went hitless in three at-bats.

Lee got on base twice in three plate appearances.

Drury stayed hot, hitting his sixth Syracuse home run of the season.

Chance Sisco‘s first hit since being claimed off waivers from Baltimore was a solo homer that pulled the Mets within a run.

Eickhoff made his first appearance since being designated for assignment and tossed two scoreless innings.

Banda made his Syracuse debut and pitched extremely well, throwing three scoreless innings out of the bullpen behind Eickhoff.
