The Mets upended nearly a third of their roster at the Trade Deadline and welcomed in a plethora of new talent into the farm, including a new No. 1 prospect in INF Jefferson Rojas. While trading for prospects is always a risk, the kids are showing up and more in their few games within the Mets’ minor league system thus far. As a result, Binghamton is currently riding a seven-game win streak.
Billy Amick (A.J. Minter trade) has hit four home runs in his past three consecutive games, while other new Mets like Émilien Pitre, Sammy Stafura and Aidan Smith continue to tally up the hits. All in all, the future looks extremely bright in Queens.
Triple-A Syracuse

Since his promotion to Syracuse, Lorusso is slashing .389/.450/.889 across five games with seven hits in 18 at-bats. The 25-year-old is on a power kick, hitting five home runs in August between Binghamton and Syracuse. With Clifford’s struggles continuing into August, Lorusso is a name to keep an eye on as the Mets look for possible long-term solutions at first base.

After posting a dazzling 1.69 ERA in 28 games with Syracuse in 2026, Dylan Ross has struggled to replicate those numbers. He began the season on the injured list due to arm fatigue and is posting a 2.08 WHIP this season compared to a 1.03 WHIP with Syracuse in 2025.

The new crop of Mets continues to shine. Billy Amick has been on an absolute tear, clobbering four home runs in his past three games. Of five games in the Mets organization, Pitre has multi-hit games in four. While he hasn’t displayed his speed on the base paths yet (32 stolen bases with Rays’ affiliates in 2026), it’s only a matter of time.

The New York native Stafura is off to a hot start in the Mets organization, tallying a hit in every game he’s appeared in. Like Stafura, Smith is right at home in Brooklyn, tallying 23 total bases in his six games with the team. Smith’s homer is his fourth since joining the Mets from the Rays organization in the Freddy Peralta trade.

Three fielding errors behind him cost Hurtado on the mound, but he continues to enjoy a solid season in Brooklyn.
