The New York Mets scored 16 runs last night at SunTrust Park in their win against the Atlanta Braves. It was the seventh straight game (six on road) that the Mets had scored at least five runs.

Scoring runs on the road has not been an issue for the Mets this season as they average 6.69 runs in away games, second most in Major League Baseball.

One of the biggest reasons for the Mets success on the road has been the home run ball. The Mets lead the majors with 2.15 home runs per game on the road.

The Mets are now 8-5 on the road in 2017 and just 4-10 at Citi Field. The driving force behind the Mets offensive juggernaut away from New York has been outfielder Michael Conforto. He’s slashing .421/.455/.816 with four home runs and 14 RBI on the road this year.

In their 13 road games, the Mets are hitting .268/.343/.516 with a majors leading .858 OPS.
