The Mets have activated Bobby Parnell and Dilson Herrera from the disabled list, and both will join the Mets for tonight’s game.

To make room, the Mets have placed Dillon Gee, whose grandmother passed away, on the bereavement list. Ruben Tejada, whose significant other had a baby today, has been placed on paternity leave.

The Mets will be able to hold off on making any more permanent roster decisions until Tejada or Gee return to the team, but they will also continue to carry a short bench without a backup infielder. Also, with Plawecki continuing to experience dizziness, the Mets will be very short-handed for the next few days.

Parnell has been out since Opening Day last season recovering from Tommy John surgery. In 2013, Parnell had a 2.16 ERA over 50 innings in 49 appearances. He also recorded 22 saves in 41 games finished.

Herrera has been out since mid-may with a fracture middle finger. He was batting .235/.297/.353 with a home run in ten games before getting hurt.
