Max Scherzer will no longer start Tuesday night for the Binghamton Rubble Ponies.

His second rehab start has been pushed to Wednesday. Scherzer was originally slated to start Tuesday in Hartford against the Yard Goats. The Mets haven’t provided a reason as to why Scherzer will start Wednesday instead of today. The weather in Hartford is in the high 70s with zero chance of rain, so it’s not weather-related.

Scherzer is working his way back from a strained oblique. He originally suffered the injury on May 18–six weeks from tomorrow’s now-scheduled rehab start.

The 37-year-old is 5-1 with a 2.54 ERA when healthy this season with the Mets.
