The Mets and outfielder Ender Inciarte have agreed to a minor-league deal, according to Andy Martino.

Inciarte was with the Yankees Triple-A affiliate throughout the first part of the season but was released last week.

Inciarte is an eight-year MLB veteran. He was an All-Star in 2017 and won consecutive Gold Gloves in centerfield from 2016-2018.

Inciarte played the prior six seasons in Atlanta. Now 31, Inciarte hopes to make it back to the majors after playing 52 games at the level in 2021.

Inciarte has no guarantee to be called up by the Mets this season but stands as solid defensive help if needed. His bat is nothing special as he’s failed to bar above .250 over the last three seasons.

In 34 games for the Yankees affiliate this season, Inciarte batted .252/.336/.408 with four home runs and 11 RBIs. He also stole four bases and walked 13 times.
