Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen told reporters after Wednesday’s game that Matt Adams is set to resume baseball activities on Friday after passing additional cardiac testing as can be seen in a video recorded by Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News.

Adams, 31, was scratched from the lineup last week as the team decided to get additional cardiac testing for him. Earlier on Wednesday, it was unclear what was going on with him as detailed by Mike Puma of the New York Post.

In 2019, the left-handed hitter had a .226/.276/.465 slash line with 20 home runs, 56 RBI, and an 84 wRC+. The Mets signed him to a minor league deal this past offseason.
