Jed Lowrie came up in an interview after the game on Wednesday with Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen who said that the infielder is looking into using a “transition brace” to help him play as detailed by Anthony DiComo of MLB.com.

According to Van Wagenen, Lowrie has been participating in all baseball activities, but wouldn’t give a timeline for his recovery and return to game action.

Prior to the game, reporters tried to get Lowrie to answers questions on the injury, but he kept just saying, “I have to refer you to the organization.”

Lowrie, 35, has been a mystery for the organization ever since he signed his two-year, $20 million contract before last season as he’s had a variety of injuries since. He only had eight plate appearances for the team during the month of September in 2019.
