After pitching five innings and yielding just one run on one hit, Jacob deGrom exited Sunday’s matinee with the Arizona Diamondbacks with an apparent injury.

DeGrom was pitching for the first time in 11 games on Sunday after missing a start with right side tightness. He came back out to pitch the sixth inning, but after throwing just two warmup pitches, trainer Brian Chicklo came to the mound followed by manager Luis Rojas.

Miguel Castro was called on to relieve him.
