On Sunday night in Troy, NY, SNY play-by-play announcer Gary Cohen, as well as SNY analyst and 1986 World Series champion Keith Hernandez, were inducted into the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame.
Last week, Cohen spoke about the honor — as well as Jacob deGrom‘s Cy Young season — with ESPN 104.5 in Albany. On Monday, SNY released a video clip of both Cohen and Hernandez making their induction speeches.

Cohen, 60, has been broadcasting Mets baseball — first on radio, then on television beginning in 2006 — since 1989.
Cohen had the pleasure of covering and then working alongside his co-inductee Hernandez, who compiled a .297/.387/.429 slash line, three All-Star appearances, and five Gold Gloves over seven seasons with the Mets (1983-1989).
Congratulations to both Gare and Keith on their inductions!
