And if you needed further validation as to the great weekend the Mets had, here it is. Major League Baseball has announced that Mets 1B Lucas Duda and RHP Noah Syndergaard have been named Co-NL Players of the Week for July 27th-August 2nd.

Jacob deGrom was the only Met to win the award this season, doing so the week of June 8. Neither Duda or Syndergaard have been named Player of the Week before.

Lucas Duda hit had an incredible week, clubbing seven home runs, including three in one game, and batting .474 with a .524 OBP and 1.632 SLG.

Noah Syndergaard had two impressive starts last week, allowing just two earned runs on 10 hits while walking none and striking out 18 in 16 innings pitched.

The only other time two Mets shared the award was when David Wright and Jose Reyes won for the week ending June 18, 2006.
