justin turner

Justin Turner is heading to Los Angeles according to Tim Dierkes of MLB Trade Rumors. The Dodgers agreed to sign the former Met infielder to a minor league deal with a Spring Training invite.

Turner, 28, batted .280/.319/.385 in 200 at-bats with two home runs, 20 runs scored and 16 RBI over 86 games for the Mets in 2013.

He was unceremoniously released by the Mets because “his propensity for not running hard irked the front office, which had finally seen enough.”

Turner, was arbitration-eligible and was due to make less than $1 million in 2014.

Farewell, our one time pie thrower.
