With concerns over the inclement weather on Thursday night, the Mets have decided to push back Jacob deGrom’s scheduled start to Friday, manager Terry Collins said.

In place of deGrom, Rafael Montero will get the nod for the rubber game against the San Diego Padres.

Montero, 26, has pitched to a 0-3 record so far in 2017 over 16 games, while logging an alarming 8.10 ERA, 5.38 FIP, 15.1 H/9 and -0.6 WAR.

With deGrom’s start being pushed, the rest of the rotation will be pushed back as well, with Zack Wheeler starting Saturday, Matt Harvey starting Sunday and Robert Gsellman to follow.
