Vidal Bruján homered, Justin Hagenman threw four innings of one-run ball, and Jefferson Rojas made it four straight Triple-A games with a hit as Syracuse beat Lehigh Valley 6-2 Friday to close within a half-game of a spot in the International League playoffs.
The third-place Mets have won four in a row and eight of 10. They are trailing second-half co-leaders Rochester and Indianapolis, who both lost Friday. All three teams have two games to go. The regular season ends Sunday.
