Syracuse continues to stay afloat in the playoff race, now sitting 1.5 games back of the top spot in the East. They are 7-3 in their last 10 games and are getting a major boost from their lineup.

The most notable over the last two games has been top prospect Jefferson Rojas, as he is batting 5-for-8 with homers in each game since arriving in Triple-A. After crushing Double-A pitching for 29 games, he has hit the ground running in the final batch of games for Syracuse.

Ryan Clifford was activated off the development list on Sept. 1; since then, he has shown encouraging results. Clifford has hit .286(8-for-28) with two homers and five RBIs in the month of September; strikeouts remain an issue with a 28% strikeout rate since his return.

Ronny Mauricio brought home the first run for Syracuse with an RBI double; his last four games have been solid (5-for-18).

Jonathan Santucci went five innings and struck out six. The southpaw has a 3.52 ERA in the month of September with 18 strikeouts through 15 1/3 innings.

Chayce McDermott has been incredible over his last six appearances, allowing one run over 7 2/3 innings.
