One night after Double-A Binghamton scored a franchise-record 23 runs on 21 hits, they managed just one run on three. That’s baseball. Still, the one run was enough, thanks in large part to Noah Hall. The 25-year-old right-hander struck out a season-high-tying 10 over six scoreless innings. Hall was making his second start for the Rumble Ponies after pitching to a 4.58 ERA in 88 1/3 innings for High-A Brooklyn.
After the dust settled on the trade deadline, MLB Pipeline’s updated list of the Mets’ top 30 prospects included nine players who came over in the various deals.
Infielder Jefferson Rojas (Clay Holmes–Tyrone Taylor trade with the Cubs) is the organization’s new No. 1 prospect, per MLB Pipeline.
