Good morning, Mets fans!

The newest iteration of the baby Mets are coming in clutch for the big league club ,as the Mets clinched the series win over the Tigers on Wednesday night. Despite having a lot of traffic on the bases, Mets pitching was able to keep Detroit to a 2-2 tie going into extras. With A.J. Ewing as the ghost runner, a Carson Benge RBI base hit sent Mets fans home happy, beating the Tigers 3-2. For a full game recap, click here!

Juan Soto left Wednesday’s game against the Tigers in the seventh inning after fouling a ball off his ankle earlier in the game. Soto’s X-rays came back negative and he is considered day-to-day.

Nolan McLean will be on the hill Thursday as the Mets go for a series sweep of the Tigers at 1:10 p.m.

Kodai Senga, who is working his way back from lumbar spine inflammation, threw a bullpen on Wednesday with hitters standing in, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. Even though he’s throwing and his back “feels good”, it seems like it will be a while before Senga returns.
