It was a rainy afternoon on the East Coast with the Syracuse Mets (Triple-A) rained out, and the Brooklyn Cyclones (High-A) delayed for three hours. Trends from the first three weeks continued for the three levels that did play, with the St. Lucie Mets (Single-A) winning and advancing to 8-7. The Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Double-A) and the Brooklyn Cyclones (Single-A) both lost, with their records now standing at 4-10 and 6-8, respectively.

A big performance from eighth-ranked prospect Elian Peña helped to power the St. Lucie (Low-A) win. Ninth-ranked prospect Jonathan Santucci had an average performance for the Rumble Ponies (Double-A).

Notably, the Rumble Ponies (Double-A) were shut out in their game against the Akron RubberDucks.

Box Score

The Brooklyn Cyclones (High-A) did not have a lot of traffic on the base paths on Sunday, having just six hits and two walks in the contest. It was an up-and-down outing for the Brooklyn Cyclones (High-A) pitching staff against the Grasshoppers. After Minter made a scheduled rehab appearance, Jimenez entered with shaky results, raising his season ERA to 9.90. Witt and Hawkins dominated in their combined six innings, allowing just one hit. However, things fell apart in the 10th inning for Cepeda when he allowed three runs (2 ER) in his inning, inevitably being tagged with the losing decision.

After a shaky start from Chirinos despite five strikeouts, the rest of the staff picked him up, allowing just one more earned run in the contest. Rodriguez was the pitcher of the game, allowing just one baserunner over 2.2 innings while striking out five.
