Good morning, Mets fans!

On Wednesday, the prized gem of the 2025 free agent class, Kyle Tucker, was seen visiting the Toronto Blue Jays facility in Dunedin, Fla., per Robert Murray of FanSided. After signing former Cy Young Award winner Dylan Cease to a seven-year deal, they are looking to continue to build upon their World Series roster with the addition of the star slugger. Along with that, they are also looking to retain middle infielder Bo Bichette, who was injured for a majority of the second half of Toronto’s season. 

Tucker will have a multitude of suitors, including the Mets who will most likely do their due diligence, but the Blue Jays continue to plant themselves in the big-game market.

Devin Williams’ three-year deal with the Mets was officially announced by the club on Wednesday.

As part of Dylan Cease’s seven-year, $210 million deal with the Blue Jays, $64 million of that will be in deferred money, per Jon Heyman of NY Post.

Cubs all-star pitcher Matthew Boyd announced that he will be pitching for team USA in the WBC in 2026 on the Foul Terriory Podcast.

The Tampa Bay Rays signed former Mets outfielder Cedric Mullins to a one-year, $7 million contract, per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

World Series hero Miguel Rojas and the Los Angeles Dodgers agreed to a one-year, $5.5 million deal, per Daniel Álvarez-Montes of El Extrabase. This will be Rojas’ last year as a player, before he transitions to the club’s player development department beyond 2026.

Free-agent relief pitcher Connor Brogdon agreed to a one-year, $900k major league deal with the Cleveland Guardians, per Zack Meisel of The Athletic.

Anthony Kay signed a 2-year, $12 million deal with the Chicago White Sox, per Robert Murray of FanSided. Kay posted a record-setting 1.74 ERA in Japan last season.

The Cincinnati Reds are bringing back reliever Emilio Pagan on a two-year, $20 million deal, per Ken Rosenthal.
