Three Things To Watch For

  1. Luis Robert Jr. against other teams. Luis Robert Jr. became the latest example of wanting to torch your former team this past weekend. He went 4-for-10 with a double, two home runs, and three walks against the White Sox. His batting average (.225), on-base percentage (.306), and slugging (.405) are all now the highest they have been since 2023. It would be great if he could ride this hot streak all the way through the end of the season.
  2. Carson Benge is on another hot streak. He’s at it again! Carson Benge is on a four-game hitting streak, going 8-for-17 with a double, two home runs, and four runs scored. He now has a 3.0 bWAR on the season to go with a 114 OPS+. Benge is only four home runs and one stolen base away from a 20-20 season in his rookie year.
  3. Get Alvarez going! Francisco Alvarez has had a rough go of it at the plate recently. In his last 10 games, he has only two hits and four walks. He’s slashing .061/.162/.091 over the stretch, which has dropped his season line from .257/.344/.442 to .235/.324/.403. That is likely why he’s sitting tonight.
