Maury Brown of Forbes reports that the MLB is expected to announce a delay to the start of spring training as early as today. A delay would be financially taxing on MLB franchises, as they would be losing potential ticket sales revenue and be forced to rebate the local sports networks for lost games as they did for the 2020 season.
