RHP Corey Oswalt (0-0, 9.64 ERA) vs. RHP Carlos Martinez (0-2, 10.03 ERA)

The Mets got back in the win column yesterday with 5-3 win over the Miami Marlins. Francisco Lindor, who is playing for a massive contract extension right now, smashed his fourth homer over the last five days while also adding a single and a double to raise his spring OPS to 1.074. Also having a sneaky good spring at the plate has been Kevin Pillar who added two more hits, raising his batting average to .324 and OPS to .895.

Marcus Stroman was yielded three runs off nine hits in his five innings. The 29-year-old still looked good as he continues to get ready for the season. The bullpen behind him was fantastic. Jacob Barnes had another scoreless outing, while Aaron Loup struck out the side in his frame.

Trevor May allowed one walk, but nothing else and Tommy Hunter finally put together a perfect inning of work. Hunter does not have much time left to prove himself however, as the Mets need to decide by Sunday if they are going to add him to the active roster.

Originally Taijuan Walker was going to get the big start today with a tremendous starting lineup, but instead he’ll be pitching in the B game at home. Corey Oswalt will get the start instead. In his first spring outing, Oswalt struck out five batter over two innings pitched. Then in his next appearance, Oswalt allowed five runs over inn2 2/3 innings.

Still this should be a fun one, with both teams going with a lineup consisting of most of their starters. With J.D. Davis in as the DH, this Mets lineup is deep 1 through 9, with Nimmo and Lindor at top and McCann and Guillorme rounding things out at the end.

Outstanding! Let’s Go Mets!
