The non-tender deadline drew far more attention this year than it had in year’s past, as there was potential to see some big names let go by their teams who were looking to shed payroll. Kris Bryant and Gary Sanchez were a few of the former All-Stars that were floated as non-tender candidates, but both of them ended up staying put.

There was also some rumblings that San Diego may cut bait from Tommy Pham after a down-year, especially since he will be due around $8 million next season. Ultimately they decided to hang on to the former standout outfielder.

Still, we did see plenty of player’s non-tendered at today’s 8:00 p.m. deadline, so here’s a list of some of the players that just became free agents.

The Braves made a somewhat surprising move non-tendering Adam Duvall after the outfielder hit 16 home runs in the shortened 6o-game season. Duvall was set to make over $4 million through arbitration, so Atlanta saved some money by making this move now. They could still look to sign Duvall to a lesser contract later this offseason.

The Kansas City Royals non-tendered third baseman Maikel Franco, marking the second-straight year he has been non-tendered after the Phillies let him go last offseason. Franco hit .278/.321/.457, with eight home runs and 38 RBIs in 60 games this year.

Eddie Rosario was maybe the biggest name that was non-tendered on Wednesday, although the move was expected after he was placed on outright waivers yesterday. Rosario has received MVP votes in each of the last two seasons, as he has been a solid offensive contributor for the Minnesota Twins.

After non-tendering Chasen Shreve, the Mets have cleared up some room in their bullpen to add more relievers and a couple of intriguing names shook loose at the deadline.

The Cincinnati Reds non-tendered Archie Bradley despite the fact that he pitched to a 1.17 ERA after being acquired at the trade deadline in 2020.

Corey Knebel was non-tendered by the Milwaukee Brewers, as he struggled in his return from Tommy John surgery this season. Still, he has a career 3.31 ERA.

Finally David Dahl is generating a lot of buzz already after being non-tendered by the Colorado Rockies, as the 26-year-old has a ton of potential. Injuries have been a real problem for Dahl, but he still has hit .286/.334/.494, throughout his career and was an All-Star in 2019.

Other notable non-tenders include Ryan Tepera, Danny Santana, Ryne Stanek, Matt Wisler, Kyle Schwarber, Albert Almora, Carlos Rodon, Nomar Mazara and former Met Hansel Robles.
