Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Atlanta Braves have acquired Shane Greene from the Detroit Tigers.

Greene, 30, made his first All-Star team this season and has a 1.18 ERA, 3.70 FIP, and 0.868 WHIP this season while notching 22 saves for the Tigers. He also has a career-high strikeout rate of 10.2 K/9 as compared to a walk rate of 2.8 BB/9. The right-handed closer is a free agent after the 2020 season.

One thing to note is that just a few minutes before this deal happened, Braves’ closer Luke Jackson left his game against the Washington Nationals with an injury.
