The Baltimore Orioles announced Sunday that they have designated outfielder Keon Broxton for assignment.
Broxton, 29, was acquired this past winter by the Mets from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for reliever Bobby Wahl and prospects Adam Hill and Felix Valerio.
The Florida native appeared in 34 games for the Mets and hit .143/.208/.163 with zero home runs and two RBI.
Broxton was designated for assignment on May 17, and was traded to the Orioles five days later for international bonus pool money.
For the Orioles, Broxton appeared in 37 games and hit just .204/.261/.350 with four home runs and nine RBI.
Broxton is arbitration eligible in 2020 and can become a free agent in 2023.
