Mets veteran infielder Todd Frazier continued his rehab assignment on Thursday with the St. Lucie Mets. He went 1-for-3 with two walks, two RBIs, and a run scored in the Mets fifth straight win.

Frazier played the first five innings at third base then first base for the last four innings. On Wednesday night, Frazier played the first four innings at shortstop. It was his first time playing the position since his rookie season with the Reds in 2011. He played shortstop exclusively in his first pro season in 2007 and another 71 games there in 2008.

Mets manager Mickey Callaway about Frazier getting reps at shortstop, “We just need him to stand there in an emergency.”

Frazier is hitting just .217 with a .525 OPS in six rehab games, though he has a hit in four straight and has knocked in a run in three straight.

The Mets have yet to say when Frazier will return from his oblique injury.
